Life Lately

Just a little smattering of some life lately.

Katie played a little piano at GEMS Sunday.  I love to hear her play.  I'm going to make her and Holly give me duets all summer!

I went with a group of fun ladies to Menopause the Musical at the Mount Baker Theater.  It was funny but might have hit a little too close to home. :)

Katie's soccer season has begun.  She's doing great and having lots of fun but I sure wish it would warm up for us spectators.  This was after a particularly wet and muddy game.

Some beds at the Hiemstra Hide-a-Way got some compost.  It always looks so nice after we get done.  The plants love it too.  It's not easy to live under huge cedars.

I had a great Mother's Day.  John grilled steaks, Katie made me a chocolate cake and I got some sweet gifts.

A Lego set from Sam.

A beautiful cross stitch and homemade card from Katie.

John's been busy epoxying the countertop for our patio serving bar.  Just in case your wondering why John is doing this project in my house rather than the nice shop I let him build....it needs to be at least 70 degrees for the epoxy to set.  It's actually a super fun process (at least to watch!) He learned how to do it from an epoxy expert from Iowa.

The base just got back from getting powder-coated.  It is installed and all ready for the top on our patio now.

This is an old picture but I hadn't posted it yet.  When your a couple it's kinda obvious that your going to JSB together but I told Sam he still needed to ask Paige in a fun way.  Every girl likes to be wooed right?!

Sam's high school soccer career has come to an end.  This was taken at Senior Night.  There were 17 seniors on the team!

These boys played so well this year!  They were 1A Districts champs and just missed going to state.

I'm sure going to miss watching my boy play.   You blink and their all grown up.

JSB 2022

This year's Junior/Senior Banquet was a rainy one but that didn't stop us from getting some cute pictures of some great kids.

They were all handsome and beautiful but these two were my favorites.

I loved him first.

Sam and his "bro time" group.  Josh (in the middle) has been mentoring these boys since they were in middle school.  So thankful for him!

Sam and his best buddy Nathan.  These two have been friends for a long time.

Another "last" for Sam.  I can't believe my boy is graduating next month.  He's ready.  I think I'm ready.  Good thing I have Katie.  But before I know it, it will just be me and this handsome guy.
