Mom Hiemstra and some other stuff.

Our little Gramma Cottage got lots of use this summer, it's been continually occupied since the beginning of July.  Grandma Hiemstra said we saved the best for last!!  She's been here since September 11 and goes back home tomorrow.  And even though in lots of these pictures I have her working, I promise, we did have a lot of fun too!

We canned 19 quarts of grape juice.

John took two of his favorite ladies to a martini bar.

In other stuff....
Forgot to post these earlier but for Labor Day this year the coffee ladies met out at the bay.  The weather was pretty yucky but that didn't stop us from having a lot of fun!  One couple even hosted the Newlywed Game.  Lots of laughs!  John and I didn't win but we got really close.

Katie got a back-to-school haircut.

Our creek in all of its autumn splendidness!

My favorite dog.

Work is continuing on the Hide-a-way roof.

Ryan is reading up on the how-tos of dahlias.

Sam and Paige went on a date and came home with goldfish for their mothers. Seriously.

His name is Chrish....like Chris with a lisp.

Sam got his senior pictures taken.

And the mums my dad planted are super, duper pretty.

So...as of Thursday, we will hang the VACANCY sign up at Gramma's Cottage.  Anyone care to make a reservation?

Summer 2021 really fast.

The leaves are falling, my fireplace is on, I've drank two pumpkin spice lattes, Ryan is on display (forget that....Ryan is always on display), flips flops are stored, boots are in the closet, it gets dark way too early and... I am still blogging about our summer.  Here we go.  I just got to get this done.  This is summer in fast forward.  Lots of pictures, not many captions.

Katie discovered that it worked pretty well giving Carly a bath in the loader.

Work continues on our hide-a-way.

We had to say goodbye to Mandy.

The Beltman family (minus a couple, plus a bunch) came to visit.

Katie was on a summer league fastpitch team.

Went on my favorite hike.

Grilled steak for a wedding.

Carly had a tumor removed from her neck.

Downtown Lynden flowers.

Sam picked raspberries.

Bre and Laura (Holly's GR roomies) came to visit.

LOVE their reactions to slugs!

Progress slowly being made on the hide-a-way.

Racehorse Falls in Deming.

Only one of us went swimming.

Mom and Dad stayed for about six weeks.

John and I celebrated 29 years of wedded bliss

The fair lasted 10 days this year.

Katie got hypnotized.

Paige and I get a big win in Cornhole.

And that's a wrap.
